What exactly is Advisory Design?

Advisory Design is a personalized, strategy-focused consultation service for homeowners who want professional design eyes, direction, and a tangible plan before investing in full-service design. It blends expert advice with actionable deliverables so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

What do I receive after the session?

You’ll receive your custom Home Rescue Report — a whole-home audit outlining strengths, home frustrations, and opportunities for improvement. It includes professional notes on furniture layout flow, lighting, finishes, and overall aesthetic continuity, plus recommendations for next steps and a clear action plan to move forward.

How is this different from the DIY tier?

The DIY tier gives you a full plan to execute yourself. Advisory Design focuses on professional analysis, strategy, and decision-making. You get my expert evaluation of your home, a comprehensive Home Rescue Report, and personalized recommendations for how to move forward — with or without additional design support.

Do I get a Room Rescue Specification Kit too?

Yes — if you choose to focus on a specific room after your Home Rescue Report, you’ll receive a Room Rescue Spec Kit tailored to that space. It includes a floor plan, recommended furnishings and finishes, and style direction to help you bring your vision to life at your own pace.

What exactly is the Home Rescue Session?

The Home Rescue Session is a 90-minute in-home consultation where we walk through your space, identify problem areas, and discuss your vision. After the session, you'll receive a Home Rescue Report — a written overview of my professional recommendations, highlighting opportunities in each room and honing in on one priority space. This may includes a simple hand-drawn layout and inspiration images, but no sourcing links or product purchases.

Can you help with more than one room or my entire home?

Absolutely. You can choose from three levels of Advisory Design support:

  • Single-Room Rescue (for focused guidance)

  • Multi-Room Rescue (for flow and cohesion across connected spaces)

  • Whole-Home Rescue (for a comprehensive diagnostic and strategy plan)

Each level builds on the other and can be phased based on your goals and timeline.

What if I’m not ready to commit to a full project?

That’s exactly what Advisory Design is for. It gives you professional clarity before making a larger investment. Many clients start here to validate ideas, get strategic direction, and then upgrade to DIY or Done-For-You once they feel ready.

Do you help set a budget?

Yes. Your Home Rescue Report includes budget insights and investment ranges so you can plan realistically and prioritize spending based on your goals and timeline. If you need something more curated and exact for home renovations, then you can upgrade to our exploratory design service for construction planning.

Can this service help if I’m building or buying a home?

Yes. Advisory Design is perfect for new builds or pre-purchases. We can review builder plans, make finish selections, and help you avoid costly mistakes before construction or closing — so you move in with confidence.

Can I book additional sessions for ongoing advice?

Definitely. Many clients schedule follow-up home rescue sessions or 15-minute implementation strategy call sessions virtually for continued guidance as they implement their plans. You can book them any time for extra support or room-by-room check-ins.

Will you recommend contractors or trades?

If your project requires trades (painting, flooring, electrical, etc.), I can suggest the types of professionals you’ll need and what to ask before hiring. Trade coordination is not included at this tier, but I offer trusted resources and optional upgrade paths for that support.

Is Advisory Design right for me?

If you’re overwhelmed by choices, unsure where to start, or need expert validation before spending a dime, Advisory Design is perfect for you. You’ll walk away with professional insight, clear direction, and renewed confidence in your home’s potential.

Do-It-Yourself Design Services

diy INTERIOR DESIGN GRIFFIN, GA HOME RESCUE EXPERIENCE

What comes with the DIY Rescue Services?

The DIY tier starts after your Home Rescue Session and includes an initial complimentary Room Rescue Spec Kit. You’ll receive:

  • A 2D floor plan
  • 3D renderings of your space
  • Mood boards with inspiration images
  • Product descriptions (style, size, color, quantity — no direct links)
  • Paint, material, and color scheme suggestions

Everything is tailored to help you bring your space to life on your own, at your pace.

Can I request a plan for my entire house?

Absolutely. The DIY tier can be applied to a single room, a grouping of rooms, or your entire home — and we can phase it out based on your priorities and timeline.

Do I get shopping links?

Not by default. The DIY tier includes visual product suggestions and full product descriptions, but no clickable shopping links. However, you can upgrade your Room Rescue Spec Kit to include direct links to preferred stores and sourcing recommendations within your ideal investment range. This optional add-on requires an additional fee due to the time and budget management involved.

Can this work for renters?

Yes! We tailor DIY designs for renters using reversible solutions like removable wallpaper, paint, lighting changes, and décor. We avoid recommending structural changes that require landlord approval.

How long does it take to get my Room Rescue Spec Kit?

For a single room, your plan will be delivered within 2–4 weeks. If you’re doing multiple rooms or a whole home, expect delivery within 4–6 weeks depending on project scope.

What if I want to use designer products/ resources-only items you suggest?

If you’d like to purchase any of the designer products/ resources that are trade-only items featured in your spec kit, you can order them through us and take advantage of our white-glove delivery service for an additional fee.

Will this help me stay on budget?

While we don’t manage your budget in the DIY tier, we give you all the product specs (dimensions, scale, quantities, finishes, etc.) so you can shop smart and stay within your preferred investment level. For deeper guidance, you can upgrade to include budget-specific recommendations and shoppable links.

Will I need to hire any contractors?

Depending on the level of transformation you’re pursuing, you might want to bring in painters, installers, or movers — but this is optional and managed by you. We do not coordinate or recommend trades at this level.

Is the DIY tier curated for my lifestyle?

This tier focuses on achieving a stylish, cohesive look, not deep lifestyle customization. If you want a design that reflects your routines, family life, and day-to-day function, we recommend the Done-For-You full-service design tier.

Can I upgrade to another tier later?

Yes. Many clients start with DIY and decide they want more support. You can upgrade to a higher-tier service anytime — just pay the difference.

Who is the DIY tier best for?

This tier is ideal for self-starters, weekend warriors, and those who enjoy taking a plan and running with it. If you want design clarity but like having control and flexibility to do the work yourself — this is perfect for you.

Can you work around pieces I already own?

Yes. During your Home Rescue Session, we assess what can be reused or repurposed — including incorporating those pieces into other areas of your home to create harmony and cohesion.

What if I’m not tech-savvy?

We keep things simple. Your deliverables are organized, visually clear, and easy to access. We’ll also walk you through how to use each piece.

What if I don’t know my budget?

You’re not alone, many clients don’t know what things “should” cost or what’s realistic. During your Home Rescue Session (consultation), we’ll talk through your priorities, timeline, and lifestyle. Then we’ll give you transparent recommendations aligned with what you’re comfortable investing. It’s not always about spending more, it’s about spending smart.

Will I feel confident doing this alone?

That’s exactly what we want! We give you all the guidance, visuals, and specifics to implement confidently. Need more support? You can book an implementation call for extra help.

Can I split this into phases?

Definitely. Many clients approach their home in phases — one room at a time or by grouping areas together. We’ll tailor your spec kit to support your timeline when paid in full.

Do you help with paint, flooring, or finishes?

Yes. You’ll receive recommendations for paint colors, accent wall ideas, flooring options, and finish selections that align with your desired home goals and aesthetic.

What if I still have questions after getting my kit?

You can purchase additional implementation calls to get answers, guidance, and encouragement at any time. We’re here for you!

Will this still feel like “me” if you’re designing it?

While it’s not as personalized as our higher full-service design tier, we do take your preferences, aesthetics, and personality into account. You’ll get a design that feels like a more stylish version of what you already love.

www.thesavvyid.com

What does the Done-For-You tier include?

Everything. From detailed concept development to full-scale renovations and furnishings, this tier is 100% managed by us. You attend the key meetings. We handle the rest.

  • Full Home Rescue Experience (includes walkthrough + home audit)
  • Concept Design Phase + Questionnaires
  • 2D floor plans, 3D renderings, elevations (where needed)
  • Detailed Design Development Presentation
  • Full product sourcing, procurement & vendor coordination
  • Coordination with trades (includes design intent, construction support, and communication)
  • Full project management, product management, project fulfillment, and implementation
  • Installation and styling
  • Weekly project updates via client portal
  • Email support + weekly implementation calls

When does the renovation actually start?

Renovation begins after all furnishings, appliances, equipment, products, and materials are received at our warehouse. This avoids delays and allows a smooth, uninterrupted installation.

Will I be living at home during the renovation?

Ideally, no. We strongly recommend arranging to be away during renovation and install phases. If not possible, protective measures will be taken to shield you from disruption as much as humanly possible.

Can I see everything before it’s installed?

Absolutely. You’ll review and approve all design elements — from furniture to finishes — in advance. Nothing gets ordered or installed without your full approval.

Will I need to find my own contractors?

Not unless you want to. We can use your contractors or bring in our own trusted trades. Either way, we coordinate with them to ensure the design intent is followed. We also provide construction support, project management, and fulfillment coordination to bring your project to life. (Note: These services are included in our all-inclusive design fee, broken down for transparency in your proposal.)

How do you make sure I’ll love the final design?

We use in-depth questionnaires, inspiration uploads, collaborative concept and detailed design review meetings, and clear approvals at each stage. You’ll approve every spec document, floor plan, furnishing, and finish — with signatures and dates. Nothing proceeds without your full sign-off.

What if I change my mind after I approve something?

Once products are approved and purchased, they are final sale. We allow two re-selects per room before ordering. If you want changes after purchases are made, you may do so for an additional fee and will keep the previously approved items.

What if something gets delayed or damaged?

We proactively track every item and communicate delays in your weekly updates. If something arrives damaged, we handle the replacement process on your behalf.

Do I get access to designer trade-only products and resources?

Yes! All items are professionally sourced through our exclusive trade vendors, many of which are unavailable to the public. These selections offer superior quality and style. But, if you have retailers you would like us to purchase your furnishings from, we can do that for an additional service fee.

Do you stay within my investment range?

Yes. Unless you decided to increase your budget. We present designs and product recommendations aligned with your approved investment level. We also secure quotes from trades to build your full-range proposal before implementation.

How often will I hear from you?

You’ll receive:

  • Weekly "What’s Up" updates in your client portal every Friday
  • Weekly implementation calls
  • Email support anytime (responses sent weekly or during your call) You’re never left in the dark.

Will I know what’s happening week to week?

Yes. Your portal is updated weekly with new statuses, notes, photos (if needed), and answers to your questions. You’ll always know what’s done, what’s next, and what’s pending.

Can I split the install or purchasing into phases?

This service is designed for full implementation. If you need to phase things out, a restart fee will be applied each time we need to resume the project.

What’s the minimum investment required for this service?

Our Done-For-You Rescue Experience™ begins at an investment of $125,000 and up and requires a three-room minimum for multi-room projects. We also offer single priority room and whole-home full service design projects as well.

This multi-room investment covers your full-service design fee, furnishings, and any cosmetic renovations or construction support included in your scope of work.

Each Done-For-You project—whether single room, multi-room, or whole home—receives personalized attention and approval from our principal designer, Katherine Jordan, to ensure it’s the right fit for this level of service. Because this is an application-based service offering, acceptance is determined by project readiness, scope, and alignment with our full-service process.

If your desired project is smaller or you’d like to begin with a more flexible starting point, one of our other tiers—such as Advisory Design, or Do-It-Yourself Design —may be a better fit.

How long does a full Done-For-You project take?

Project timelines vary based on scope, but a typical multi-room and whole-home project takes 6–12+ months depending on product lead times, renovation scale, and home size. And single rooms typically take 2–3+ months.

Will I feel supported the entire time?

One thousand percent. This is a concierge experience. From walkthrough to final styling, we’re in close communication — making every step clear, smooth, and stress-free.

What if I live outside your area?

We accept projects outside our standard service area on a case-by-case basis. Travel fees and extended timelines may apply. Travel starts at $700 per visit plus mileage, depending on distance from Henry County. This will be calculated into your proposal.
